Jannie Kotzé

Jannie holds a B.Iuris (1984) and LLB (1986) from the University of the Orange Free State as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Commercial and Recourses Law (2011) at University of Western Australia. He is admitted to the following courts

  • Advocate (Barrister) of the Supreme Court of the Republic of South Africa (1987)
  • Advocate of the High Court of Namibia (prior to 27/04/1994)

He has extensive legal experience is commended within the corporate practice, particularly in Commodities, Insurance and Financial Services. CF de Wet

CF is the managing director of Kaap-Vaal Trust. He is a liquidator and trustee. He has been involved with insolvent estates as well as deceased estates, liquidations of companies and close corporations and judicial manager of companies and close corporations since 1989. This includes:

Marius van Tonder

Marius obtained his BProc from the University of Pretoria in 1989. He immediately focussed his attention on turnaround strategies for various companies after graduating. For 24 years he has been assisting different companies in numerous industries in their business turnarounds ranging from agricultural to financing. He also served on various private and listed companies’ boards. In 2012 Marius successfully completed the Business Rescue Practitioner’s Course through UNISA.

Tiaan Herbst

Nerina Visser

Nerina Visser is an independent ETF Strategist and Advisor. She focuses on exchange traded products, benchmark indices and quantitative rules-based structured solutions. She is a director of the etfSA Portfolio Management Company. She further serves as Vice President on the board of the CFA Institute South Africa Society and is a member of the JSE Issuer Regulation Advisory Committee. She also serves on the Editorial Advisory Committee of the Collective Insight publication and is a pension fund trustee. Mike Brown

Mike Brown was one of the instigators of the Exchange Traded Product industry in South Africa. Employed at Gensec Bank at the time, he was responsible for the launch of the Satrix 40 as the first South African listed ETF in November 2000. Satrix went on to list six further ETFs during his association with that company. In 2004, Mike helped restructure Satrix as a Collective Investment Scheme to take advantage of the new Collective Investment Scheme legislation. The structure of registering funds under a Collective Investment Scheme (CIS) Manco and listing the CIS portfolios on the JSE as ETFs has subsequently been followed by other South African issuers of ETFs.
