Antonie holds a PhD in Theoretical/Mathematical Physics from the University of the Witwatersrand (SA) where Quantum Chaos Theory was his field of interest. With more than 22 years’ experience as a quantitative analyst in the South African and African financial and derivatives markets, he’s a renowned expert in financial mathematics, modelling and training.
Antonie is a former Rand Afrikaans University (currently University of Johannesburg) faculty member but has recently been appointed Senior Research Associate in the faculty of Economic and Investment Sciences. He is also an Extraordinary Lecturer in the department of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the University of Pretoria.
Antonie is an independent financial derivatives pricing and model validation expert. The span of his derivative and investment experience includes capital, interest rate, credit, foreign exchange, commodity (hard and soft) and equity markets. He passed all FSB prescribed regulatory exams.
With his one foot firmly within academia, he bridges the gap between academic research and the practicalities of the trading floor and risk management within trading houses.
Olga de Wet
Olga holds a BCom Honours degree in Investment Management from the Rand Afrikaans University (currently the University of Johannesburg) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Ethics from the University of Stellenbosch. She lectured part-time in the same department during 1995, facilitating an honours course on Currency Management.
She was previously Group Treasurer at Remgro (JSE symbol REM). Olga spent 23 years at Remgro. Here she was involved in many corporate finance transactions such as the initial stages of Richemont (JSE symbol CFR), the start of Vodacom (JSE symbol VOD) and when it was sold again. She passed all FSB prescribed regulatory exams as well as the Registered Persons Exams from the Institute for Financial Markets.
During August 2014 she was issued with a Junior Business Rescue Practitioner’s licence from the CIPC and has since acted as a Rescue Practitioner for several companies in multiple industries.
Lindi holds a BA (Law) degree from the Rand Afrikaans University (currently the University of Johannesburg). She also obtained a Diploma in Journalism from Birnam Business College and a Diploma in the Management Development Programme at the Gordon Institute of Business Science.
She has 25 years’ experience in the short term insurance and fund management fields and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute having also completed the Higher Certificate in Insurance. She held positions as the Divisional Account Director Corporate at Glenrand MIB (now Aon) and was also the General and Underwriting Manager at Paladin Underwriting Managers. She passed all FSB prescribed regulatory exams.
